Every now and then it’s contingent on Murphy to pay a visit. Yesterday was that day. Misplaced a pair of prescription sunglasses (luckily, I have a spare pair), broke the tent, through a bit of ‘over tightening, and broke the cable on the solar charger. Such is life, and nothing a nice glass of red can’t fix!

Tried to do justice to the famous (locally), Cazneaux tree. An award winning photograph taken by Harold Cazneaux in 1937. I can never seem to get the light right, and looking at his it could well have been taken near dusk, while mine have all the shadows of dawn.

Flinders Ranges? What can I say? It is beautiful, but like all beautiful places, heavily exploited 😒 Far too many caravanners, 4WD “Adventurers”, and tourists of every persuasion. The secret is to get up early in the morning to enjoy the solitude.

Went for a bit of a hike in the hills today (12km), conscious of foot and knees, but all was okay, cycling has proven to be quite therapeutic and maybe I can be back in the mountains sooner than anticipated😊😊
